Home > About the GLS > Administration of Justice Administration of Justice and Law Reform GLS work offers the unique opportunity to become involved in the review, development and reform of both the judicial system and the law itself. The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and the Home Office take the lead on issues of civil and criminal law respectively. The Law Commission formulates proposals for law reform that may end up as Parliamentary Bills. This perspective of the law at work is simply unavailable anywhere else. In addition, GLS lawyers are involved with the
machinery of justice. This may be through their role in the courts and
tribunal systems, or through advising on matters such as judicial appointments.
It frequently involves casework, demanding both accuracy and sound judgement. |
