> Working in TSol’s Litigation Group Richard Manstoff “My name is Richard Manstoff and I joined the Litigation Group at TSol in January 2005. I have not looked back. I trained at a West-End Media & Entertainment firm where I gained experience of litigation, family and immigration, general commercial work and more specialist intellectual property related matters. I believe that variety of work is stimulating. I was attracted to the GLS because they believe the same. I now work in a team which acts for The Prison Service and which handles all contentious civil matters and litigation on their behalf. My caseload varies widely in its subject matter and value and encompass areas of Human Rights Law, European Law and of course English Law. Within the latter, I am exposed to issues of Negligence, Defamation, Assault, Health & Safety, Employment Law, Property/Land Law and many others. I do not believe I would have access to the above and be given the same level of responsibility in private practice. There is also the added advantage that long before I get the opportunity to become bored with the work I currently do (if that is at all possible!!!), I will be encouraged to move somewhere else within the GLS to a different Department and most likely for an entirely different role. I would, for example very much like to experience an advisory role at some point in the future. It is this flexibility, and the mix of skills which it creates throughout the GLS which has impressed me most. It goes without saying that the quality of the work, the responsibility offered and the support and excellent training provided in conjunction with it which have affirmed that my decision to move into the GLS was the correct one.” |
