The Work If you are interested in a varied and rewarding career, then the litigating Departments of the GLS could be just the place for you. Government litigators deal with a wide range of areas of law right across Whitehall. From arbitrations to VAT, from immigration to foot and mouth disease, from planning appeals to tax appeals - our range of cases stretch from the Magistrates’ Courts to the European Court of Justice. They also encompass public inquiries. During 2004, Government litigators handled 350 cases in the Court of Appeal and 50 in the House of Lords. The Challenge The smallest, most innocuous case may have wider policy implications in Whitehall. It is not enough to focus on the litigation alone. A key question for us is: Are you able to think outside the box? Further Information For more information on a career in the litigating teams across Whitehall please view the relevant page: TSol (Treasury Solicitors) |
