Home > Benefits of Working for the GLS > Childcare Childcare When it comes to childcare, the public sector is hard to beat – a recent Cabinet Office study made it clear that the Civil Service could be one of the UK’s largest providers. Taken as a whole, the Civil Service falls within the UK’s top 10 per cent of employers providing childcare support for their staff. The range of provision varies according to Department but can include workplace nurseries, after-school clubs, targeted assistance with childcare costs and subsidised holiday play schemes for children aged up to 12 (although places are limited and much in demand). |
