A full list of departments offering places will be published on this website at the start of the 2009 recruitment campaign. In the 2008 campaign, departments offered the following posts;

2 Pupil Barristers

Department for Communities and Local Government 2 Trainee Solicitors to start in 2010; 1 Trainee Solicitor to start in 2009
Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs 1 post for either a Trainee Solicitor or Pupil Barrister
Department for Transport 1 post for either a Trainee Solicitor or Pupil Barrister
Department for Work and Pensions 2 Trainee Solicitors
Home Office 1 Pupil Barrister
HM Revenue and Customs 4 Trainee Solicitors
Ministry of Justice 1 Trainee Solicitor
TSol Up to 12 posts in 2010 for either Trainee Solicitors or Pupil Barristers and 3 places in 2009 for either Trainee Solicitors or Pupil Barristers

When submitting your application form, you will initially apply to the GLS. If you are successful in the second phase of the selection process, you will be asked to nominate two Departments you are interested in applying to.
